Not exactly what you suggested, but we plan to add a truck trailer instead.

Dennis Scholz I was going to suggest something for cargo transport on land and stumbled upon this post.
What about adding a boxed truck variation that would maybe use more fuel and be a bit slower but would allow to store larger stacks like inside the large lumber stockpile for example? It's already hard to drive on some servers, would make it easier to drive on 5 block wide streets. 
(I would also love the addition of a large truck for 10 wide streets that would maybe transport containers, that could also be used by a freighter [or at least the industrial barrage] and would have to be moved by a crane at a harbor).

Yberias We have no plans to add such attachments to the tractor, they are supposed to stay work vehicles. We need to use resources efficiently and if there is already one solution to a problem, the priority of having a redundant solution is not there compared to other problems.
